Full description

Elmbridge Electrical Services are a professional electrical contractor based in Cranleigh, Surrey, serving domestic and commercial clients across the county. They provide comprehensive electrical installations, testing, security and access control integrations, and site safety supervision. Due to continued company growth, they now service the fire and security installation sector too! They are now looking to recruit a brand new apprentice fire and security engineer to expand their team.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Fire Alarms

This vacancy is targeting recruitment for a September 29th apprenticeship launch, if the right candidate isn't found in time, this may move to October.

Salary is negotiable at interview, but only if you have relevant experience already.

Entry Requirements

  • Due to the travel requirements of the role, a UK driving license is required
  • Grade 4 Maths and English at GCSE level 4 (or equivalent)
  • Electrical or engineering experience would be a bonus
  • Excellent customer service and teamworking experience
  • Comfortable working at height, due to the nature of the role
  • Eager to learn more about the wider fire and security industry

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Watford centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
