Job description: Executive Business Analyst
Constellation seeks an Executive Business Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC, evaluating the processes, people, and technology for our clients’ operations. The Executive Business Analyst, working independently or as part of a contractor team, will evaluate and solve the agency’s business challenges, specifically in support of the Department of Homeland Security’s law enforcement mission by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing information. The Executive Business Analyst will utilize various communication strategies to prepare reports summarizing findings and present analysis to clients. Detail-oriented experienced analyst with proven track record in data management and interpretation, data integrity, scheduling, data analytics, and dashboard creation.
The Executive Business Analyst will:
- Use tools like Power BI, Tableau or other visualization software to synthesize the information and assist senior executives in making decisions.
- Develop analytical methods and tools to evaluate and integrate data from various sources to assess and recommend solutions to assigned problems.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on progress, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Use performance data to inform strategic adjustments and continuous improvement efforts.
- Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to understand and enhance business processes, producing documentation of process requirements and details.
- Deliver schedule management and milestone tracking for various customer projects utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Apply oral and written communication expertise to develop project deliverables, including analysis plans, written reports, briefing slides, and discussions with clients and stakeholders.
- Support studies and meetings; document and compile notes; analyze data; develop guides, standard operating procedures, trackers, and publications, one pager, facts sheets, etc.
- Provide calendar and meeting support, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note taking for staff meetings and office projects.
- Draft and edit memos, reports, and briefings for review and use by the customer.
- Perform data entry and asset management functions to include inventory of assets in accordance with agency policies.
- Provide support for maintaining the organizational source requests utilizing a centralized tracker to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and respond to routine inquiries via the shared email box or phone, escalating when necessary to the senior leadership.
- Assist with logistics and coordination of internal training, workshops, tasker responses.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
- Minimum of four years proven experience as a government consultant or support contractor collecting, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data to senior government leadership.
- Minimum two years’ experience analyzing data, presenting findings and interacting with senior level executives of a government or large commercial enterprise.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or another relevant field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and for our client understanding their needs and work in a face paced dynamic environment
- Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP/ICE, or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
