Position Summary As a Senior Android Developer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing native Android applications. You will apply advanced expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern mobile architecture; collaborate with product, design, quality engineering, security, and backend teams; and help shape technical standards and innovation across Android engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops native Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Views, as appropriate.
  • Implements accessible, responsive, and reusable mobile features that align with product requirements, user experience standards, and Android platform guidelines.
  • Collaborates with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, quality engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, make architectural decisions, and deliver end-to-end mobile experiences.
  • Integrates Android applications with RESTful APIs, authentication services, analytics, push notifications, local storage, and other enterprise or third-party services while following security and privacy standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial experience designing, developing, testing, and releasing native Android applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and modern Android application architecture.
  • Familiarity with or experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and working with Firebase, JSON, networking, local storage, authentication, and secure data handling.
  • Familiarity with or experience in unit testing, UI testing, debugging, code review, version control using Git, and continuous integration and delivery practices for Android applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, planning, delivery, and production-support skills, with familiarity with or experience in Agile workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Material Design, accessibility, adaptive layouts, and support for multiple Android versions and device form factors.
  • Experience with app performance profiling, crash and analytics tools, automated release pipelines, Google Play deployment, and mobile security best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (High School Diploma/GED + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
