Job Summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Senior Analyst, BI & Analytics responsible for producing data, insight and analysis enabling data driven decision making and driving business value through analytics.  This role is an individual contributor and is a great opportunity for an analytically minded individual who wants to add value directly within the line of business whilst continuing to develop their technical skills. 

 

You will be able to demonstrate strong technical skills with the ability to convert raw data into meaningful analysis through a variety of techniques ranging from data wrangling, visualisation and modelling. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

  • Lead and develop the creation of Data & BI products that improve insight-driven decision making
  • Clear and actionable insight creation of multiple complex data set(s)
  • Delivery of processes to ensure data is standardised, high quality and robust that give a complete picture of our commercial and operational performance
  • Build structured data pipelines to support business tools and analytics requirements
  • Solicit and collaborate with account team members to obtain Data & BI requirements
  • Facilitate data training workshops to effectively embed Data & BI products enabling

improved usage and adoption

  • Creatively utilise different data modelling techniques to develop forecasting and predictive analysis

Team Player

  • Be an active member of the internal and external JLL BI Community to ensure continuous personal development and knowledge sharing with other members of the JLL BI Centre of Excellence
  • Become an ambassador for data-driven decision making by championing best practices, knowledge and standards
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders that are geographically dispersed

Skills

  • Ability to conceptualised complex business challenges and translating them into well-structured analytics deliverables
  • Ability to conduct exploratory data mining of large and complex data sets
  • Ability to prepare, query and analyse data in a structured method using SQL
  • Intermediate knowledge of ‘code-free’ ETL technologies (e.g Alteryx or Databricks)
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualisation technologies (e.g Tableau)
  • Experience of using cloud technologies (e.g Snowflake) and integration of data using APIs
  • An effective communicator at all levels and be able to articulate technical concepts to a ‘non-technical audience’
  • Desirable: Foundational knowledge of programming languages: R and/or Python
  • Fluent English is critical to the role’s success

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence and/or Technical roles
  • Business analysis, consulting / data advisory and/or project management experience is a must
  • Experience of synthesising complex and ambiguous data in order to drive actionable insight brought to life through communication and visualisation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree, or evidence of expert skill in BI, data science, computer science, econometrics, operations research, statistics, Information Management, or related analytical field; advanced degree preferred
