Automation Solutions Architect II
Description:
As an Automation Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for implementing designed automation solutions across a wide array of industries and maintaining control systems to ensure the efficient and safe operation of industrial processes. This role involves working with various cross-functional teams to configure control systems improving process performance, reliability, and safety.
The Automation Solutions Architect is responsible for working with clients and vendors to implement project tasks with the established scope of work in alignment with project goals and objectives. This role requires industrial specific technical knowledge and programming best practices. This position will need to focus and possess a high level of technical accuracy and a deep understanding of process knowledge. Must be able to have the ability to collaborate with a team that will implement and maintain process controls in a safe, reliable, and economical operation.
Responsibilities:
- The design and implementation of process control schemes to support existing processes which include process efficiency improvements, optimization, process variability reduction, compliance with environmental and safety requirements and equipment/process reliability.
- Specify control hardware and design control schemes for new process automation projects.
- Key customers include plant operators and supervisors, technical and business groups, and maintenance personnel.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on new control functions.
- Assist technical groups with process improvement activities and process/maintenance troubleshooting activities.
- Responsible for business continuity of process control systems through documentation and training.
- Leads small to medium level projects with some level of autonomy.
- Knowledge of advanced programming concepts and system to system communication protocols.
- Collaborates will engineering team members to ensure project success.
- Architect software and automation systems to meet customer needs.
- Designs and develops software components and automation systems along with testing and validating software system design and performance.
- Able to mentor intern and specialist level engineers and assist with their skill development

Skills & Qualifications:
- Level II
