Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for Technical Report Writers to support a planned outage in the Fort McMurray area. This role will be focused on documenting outage activities, compiling technical data, and producing clear, accurate reports under tight timelines.

Position Information:

Project Based/Outage

  • Outage Duration: September 7, 2026 - October 17, 2026
  • 6/1 rotation, 12-hour shifts
  • Accommodations and travel provided

Responsibilities

  • Develop and finalize daily, weekly, and post-outage technical reports
  • Compile field data, inspection findings, and repair documentation
  • Work closely with supervisors, planners, and QA/QC personnel to gather accurate information
  • Ensure all reports meet client and regulatory documentation standards

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical writing experience in oil & gas, heavy industrial, or turnaround environments
  • NDT Trainees actively pursuing CGSB Certification with some field experience
  • Experience supporting outages/turnarounds/shutdowns preferred
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, construction, or inspection processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
