💻 Work Style: On-site 📍 Location Requirement: Gainesville, FL 🕒 FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 🗓️ Schedule: Saturday–Wednesday | 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (Thursday/Friday off) 🏥 Coverage: This position is part of the Data Center’s 24/7/365 operations and includes a regular weekend schedule.
Assists in ensuring the efficient operation and optimal performance of data center infrastructure.
Involves monitoring systems, assisting with hardware and software installations, and troubleshooting technical issues related to servers, storage, and networking equipment.
Maintains detailed documentation, supports backup and recovery processes, and collaborates with teams to implement infrastructure upgrades.
Ensures compliance with security standards and tracks system performance to drive continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors data center systems and infrastructure to support reliable and efficient operations.
- Monitors system performance and identifies potential hardware, software, or infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to servers, storage, networking equipment, and other data center systems.
- Assists with hardware and software installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Supports backup and recovery processes to help maintain system availability and data integrity.
- Maintains accurate documentation of systems, processes, incidents, and operational activities.
- Collaborates with IT teams to implement infrastructure upgrades and resolve technical issues.
- Supports compliance with data center security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Tracks system performance and identifies opportunities for operational and performance improvements.
- Provides support as part of the Data Center’s 24/7/365 operations, including the assigned Saturday–Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule.

Education
- Associates Degree
Experience
- 1+ years of experience supporting data center operations.
- Experience monitoring system performance and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

Other Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of server, storage, and networking equipment.
- Ability to maintain documentation and support backup/recovery processes.
- Familiarity with data center security standards.
