This role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of interior fit-out and finishing works for commercial office, hospitality, and hotel construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all finishing activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, budgets, timelines, and client expectations. The role requires close collaboration with design teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients to drive seamless project execution and successful handover of high-quality finished spaces.Job Description
About the Role:
- Lead end-to-end execution of interior fit-out and finishing works for commercial office buildings, hotels, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies, construction plans, and delivery programs for finishing and fit-out packages.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and quality objectives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of finishing works.
- Oversee all finishing activities including drywall, flooring, ceilings, joinery, millwork, stone works, painting, wall finishes, façade interfaces, signage, FF&E, and interior installations.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and implement corrective actions to address delays, risks, or performance issues.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and method statements to ensure compliance with design intent and quality requirements.
- Manage procurement and material delivery schedules for finishing packages to support project timelines.
- Lead contractor performance reviews, progress meetings, site coordination meetings, and stakeholder reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project execution.
- Drive quality inspections, snagging activities, punch list management, testing, commissioning support, and final project handover.
- Manage commercial aspects including change orders, variation requests, contractor claims, and project cost controls in coordination with commercial teams.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans to achieve project milestones and client expectations.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and executive-level project reports, dashboards, and progress updates for senior leadership and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key project stakeholders to ensure project success.
About You:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline with 15 - 20 years of experience in project management, construction management, or fit-out project delivery.
- Proven experience managing interior fit-out and finishing works for Grade-A commercial office buildings, hotels, hospitality projects, mixed-use developments, luxury developments, or large-scale real estate projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, finishing trades, fit-out execution, project controls, quality management, and construction sequencing.
- Extensive experience managing high-end interior finishing packages including joinery, decorative finishes, ceilings, flooring, wall treatments, stone works, FF&E, and hospitality-specific fit-out works.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors across complex construction projects from shell & core through final handover.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, risk management, contract administration, procurement, cost control, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working in occupied commercial environments and luxury hospitality projects with stringent quality and schedule requirements.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to manage senior stakeholders, developers, hotel operators, consultants, and contractor teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver projects within budget, schedule, safety, and quality targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience delivering luxury hotel, hospitality, workplace, commercial office, or premium interior fit-out projects will be highly preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, CCM, RICS, or equivalent project management and construction certifications will be an added advantage.
