Full description

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic.

We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager with a strong delivery and consulting mindset - someone who takes genuine ownership of outcomes, builds lasting client relationships, and brings structure and clarity to complex engineering environments. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a large people-management position. You will own delivery for a strategic enterprise client in the travel space, leading a team of approximately 15-20 engineers across dedicated engineering teams and managed delivery streams. You will be the primary point of contact for the client, responsible for delivery governance, team performance, and continuous improvement. If you bring a consulting mindset - structured thinking, strong work ethics, and a genuine drive to deliver - we would love to hear from you.

You will be stepping into a strategic, long-term engagement in the travel industry - an established delivery that combines dedicated engineering teams with managed delivery streams in a fully Agile environment. You will have meaningful delivery ownership from day one, with real scope to shape how the engagement evolves. This is a growth-oriented role - with the opportunity to develop into a broader leadership position within Ciklum's international engineering organization, including organizational change management responsibilities over time. This is not a short-term assignment. We are looking for someone who wants to build something lasting and grow with it.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery for a strategic enterprise client, ensuring high performance, client satisfaction, and team engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations and building a strong, trust-based relationship
  • Lead delivery governance: create and maintain delivery plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and drive corrective actions when needed
  • Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking
  • Manage scope, resources, change requests, and risk mitigation across multiple concurrent delivery streams
  • Support growth opportunities in collaboration with Account Management and Sales
  • Coordinate ramp-up and onboarding across projects to ensure smooth delivery engagement from the start
  • Coach and support more junior Delivery Managers and Team Leads, sharing experience and helping them grow
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and drive delivery maturity across the teams
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution shaping, estimates, team structure planning, and client presentations
  • Oversee configuration management and release processes to ensure consistency and control

Requirements:

We know that sometimes, you can't tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you're a good fit!

  • 3-5 years of experience managing IT delivery projects, ideally across multiple teams or workstreams
  • Experience delivering projects involving cross-functional engineering teams of 10 or more people
  • Proven ability to manage delivery in time- and budget-sensitive environments
  • Strong client-facing skills - comfortable owning stakeholder relationships and navigating demanding enterprise environments
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models
  • Familiarity with core technology stack concepts (frontend, backend, QA, CI/CD, cloud basics) - enough to have meaningful conversations with engineering teams
  • Understanding of delivery metrics: velocity, team health, and performance KPIs
  • Experience with contract interpretation (SOW, MSA) and delivery financials (budget, forecasts)
  • Consulting mindset - structured, proactive, and client-oriented
  • Advanced English (C1+) for written and verbal communication

Desirable:

  • Agile certification: Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner, or equivalent
  • Intermediate project management credentials (PMI PMP or similar)
  • Experience in the travel industry or with enterprise-scale clients
  • Background in organizational change management (OCM)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or Business

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexible working hours
  • Home office option
  • 5 weeks of holiday
  • 5 sick days
  • Multisport Card
  • Meal allowance
  • Internal trainings including workshops and seminars
  • Paid certifications and technical as well as soft-skills training
  • Possibility to participate in international conferences
  • Fresh fruit, coffee, and a weekly company breakfast in the office
  • Loyalty bonus after 5, 10, 15 and more years with the company
  • Referral bonus programme
  • Corporate events including team building, outdoor activities, Christmas party, health week, summer ice cream, and more
  • Hybrid and remote working options available across our Czech offices in Prague, Hradec Králové, and Zlín
