This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Web Project Manager based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex digital projects in a fast-paced, highly collaborative development environment. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of custom websites, web applications, and software projects from discovery through completion. Working alongside developers, designers, strategists, data specialists, and clients, you will turn business objectives into clear project plans and successful digital outcomes. You will own timelines, budgets, requirements, documentation, risks, and stakeholder communication while maintaining high standards for quality and client satisfaction. The role also emphasizes modern technology, AI-enabled productivity, emerging digital practices, and continuous improvement. Success requires strong organization, technical fluency, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences. Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for custom websites, web applications, and software development initiatives, ensuring delivery meets agreed quality, timeline, budget, and scope requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions with clients and internal stakeholders, gathering requirements, clarifying objectives, defining scope, and tracking progress against project plans.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive strategic project plans, proactively identifying dependencies and risks and implementing mitigation strategies when challenges arise.
- Facilitate client and internal meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across development, design, strategy, and other cross-functional teams.
- Maintain strong understanding of client goals and objectives, translating them into actionable project requirements and helping build long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements specifications, technical documentation, risk logs, timelines, budgets, and other relevant project materials.
- Monitor project performance and proactively address issues that could affect scope, delivery, quality, or client satisfaction.
- Use AI tools to improve project planning, workflow efficiency, research, communication, documentation, and overall delivery quality.
- Stay informed about emerging web technologies, digital platforms, development methodologies, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improved project delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying more effective processes, tools, and methodologies for managing digital projects.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience managing custom website, web application, software development, or comparable digital technology projects.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to increase productivity, streamline workflows, and improve project outcomes.
- Strong project organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize competing deadlines and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and remain effective in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment.
- High proficiency with Asana or comparable project management platforms such as Jira or Monday.com.
- Familiarity with modern web development platforms, including Webflow, WordPress, or similar technologies, as well as a working understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics 4, digital performance metrics, and other factors influencing website performance.
- Solid technical understanding of web accessibility, including WCAG compliance, browser and device compatibility, and security considerations.
- Experience with Webflow or comparable no-code/low-code platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with API integrations and contemporary web development workflows is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA is preferred.
- Experience working in communications, public affairs, professional services, or similarly client-focused environments is a plus.
