UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Cloud Architect opportunity in Charleston, West Virginia.
Description Key Responsibilities Design & Architecture: Build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud landing zones and environments. Migration & Modernization: Lead the movement of legacy systems and data from on-premises data centers to the cloud. Governance & Security: Implement security controls, IAM policies, and compliance guardrails (such as NIST or RMF). Cost Optimization: Manage cloud spending models and resource efficiency. [1, 2]
Required Skills & Qualifications Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP services. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Experience: Typically 6 to 10+ years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering. Certifications: Often requests AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Expert credentials.
Cloud Architect must have a minimum of five years (5) of experience in Cloud Architecture including designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions. (AWS, AZURE, or GCP)
Cloud Architect must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with cloud Migration patterns, (Rehost, Refactor, Replatform)
Cloud Architect must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
Cloud Architect should have excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
