Overview

The Senior Digital Product Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the ongoing digital roadmap for the Spire corporate website, ensuring they provide exceptional user experiences and support broader business commercial and operational objectives. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement through data-led decision making, experimentation, and agile delivery practices.

Working closely with business stakeholders, UX teams, developers, and external partners, the Senior Digital Product Manager will prioritise and manage a product backlog, oversee sprint planning, and ensure the successful delivery of digital products that maximise the overall user experience, conversion, and business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the digital product roadmap for the Spire corporate website and other centrally managed digital platforms
  • Lead the delivery of the experimentation roadmap, including A/B testing, personalisation initiatives, and conversion rate optimisation activities.
  • Support the development of business cases for new digital products and feature enhancements by evaluating user value, commercial viability, costs, risks, and expected ROI to inform investment decisions.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring work is aligned to business priorities and customer needs.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and agile ceremonies to ensure efficient delivery across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define success measures, and communicate roadmap progress.
  • Manage relationships with internal UX, design, and development teams, as well as external agencies and delivery partners.
  • Ensure digital products are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Monitor website performance and customer behaviour using analytics, testing, and feedback to drive continuous optimisation.
  • Champion user-centric design principles, accessibility standards, and best practice user experience methodologies.

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in Digital Product Management, Product Ownership, or a related digital leadership role.
  • Proven experience owning and delivering digital product roadmaps in an agile environment.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise websites and CMS platforms, ideally including Optimizely CMS platform.
  • Experience leading experimentation, optimisation, and A/B testing programmes.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience prioritising and managing product backlogs and leading sprint planning activities.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, including UX, design, development, and external vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using web analytics and customer insight tools to inform decision making.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into actionable product initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Understanding of accessibility, digital compliance, SEO, and web performance best practices.
