Full description

To strengthen our team at our location in Wietmarschen-Lohne with flexible working models and the option to work from home we are looking for a

Data Engineer (all genders welcome)

to fill a two-year fixed-term position as a parental leave replacement.

At Rosenxt, we don't just work with data - we engineer the systems that make it powerful. As a Forward Thinker, you leverage the latest in data and cloud technology – including AI-assisted engineering as part of your everyday workflow - to design pipelines and platforms that power our AI and analytics future. As a Passionate Team Player, you know that the best technical solutions come from working closely with the people around you: sharing code, reviewing designs, and solving hard problems as a team. And as a Trusted Partner, you own the full data lifecycle from ingestion to serving, ensuring that data flows reliably, securely, and traceably.

Whether you're just hitting your stride or already a seasoned engineer, if you love building things that matter with data, you'll fit right in!

What you can expect

  • Design, build, and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments across the data engineering lifecycle
  • Develop and optimize data storage, modeling, and retrieval solutions on our data lakehouse platform including table design, views, and query optimization
  • Implement data quality, integrity, and security controls across the full data lifecycle with a focus on lineage and traceability
  • Build observability, automation, and performance tuning for pipelines including logging, metrics, alerting, and SLA management
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for pipelines, data models, and lineage records
  • Help shape our engineering standards and best practices - we care more about your ability to reason than tool familiarity
  • Write clean, well-tested production code following modern software engineering standards (Git, CI/CD, Agile)
  • Room to grow - we actively support your development with a learning budget, communities of practice, and real career paths tailored to where you are right now

Our Tech Stack

We work with a modern stack and we care more about how you think than what you've used before: Databricks, Fivetran, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Power BI, Docker, Github Copilot, Perplexity

What you Bring

To become part of the Rosenxt family, you have strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and business teams. You should also bring:

  • Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.)
  • Experience building or working with modern data pipelines – at any scale
  • A strong grasp of data modeling you think in schemas, not just scripts, and understand why good modeling makes everything downstream easier
  • Curiosity about data platforms, data quality, security, and privacy best practices
  • Comfort using AI tools as part of your engineering workflow as a force multiplier, not a shortcut
  • A collaborative mindset – you ask questions, share knowledge, and enjoy learning from others
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus - equivalent practical experience is absolutely welcome

Look forward to

  • Development opportunities and career opportunities in a global, innovative and long-term oriented group of companies with family character
  • Flexible working time, working time accounts and Home Office possible
  • An open, informal corporate culture, where we celebrate success with social events
  • Compatibility of work and family through our company-owned day care center
  • Employer funded pension, capital accumulation benefits and discounted insurance offers (occupational disability insurance and other direct insurance policies)
  • Company Restaurant and fresh fruit daily
  • Various in-house sports activities (EGYM Wellpass and other offers)
  • Attractive leasing offers for IT-products and bikes for private use
  • Discounted charging facilities for electric vehicles directly at the company location
  • Corporate Benefits - employee offers in changing online shops at top conditions
