CTG is seeking to fill a MDM Data Engineer – Ab Initio position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6 months
Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Ab Initio.
- Build and optimize data integration workflows connecting source systems to a centralized MDM hub.
- Configure and tune data quality rules, deduplication routines, matching logic, and survivorship criteria to establish a trusted single source of truth.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs to support data integration and MDM processes.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data governance teams, and business stakeholders to implement and enhance MDM capabilities.
- Analyze source data, identify data quality issues, and implement solutions to improve accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
- Support data governance standards, policies, and processes across MDM implementations.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor data integration workflows and MDM processes.
- Document technical designs, data mappings, integration processes, and MDM configurations.
Skills:
- Proficiency with the Ab Initio enterprise data integration tool.
- Strong knowledge of Master Data Management concepts, methodologies, and implementation practices.
- Deep familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality principles.
- Strong API development experience, particularly REST APIs.
- Experience developing and optimizing enterprise data integration workflows.
- Knowledge of data matching, deduplication, survivorship, and data quality rules.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, with focused hands-on experience in MDM implementations.
- Hands-on experience building data integration workflows connecting multiple source systems to centralized MDM platforms.
- Experience configuring and tuning MDM rules, deduplication routines, matching processes, and survivorship criteria.
- Experience working with data governance teams and business stakeholders to establish and maintain master data standards.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs in enterprise data environments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
