We are seeking a Security Software Engineer on behalf of our client, a global cybersecurity leader dedicated to protecting our digital way of life. This unique role sits at the intersection of full-stack engineering, threat intelligence, and generative AI. It is designed for an engineer with a strong foundation in cybersecurity who has successfully transitioned into production software development. You will join a specialized engineering team to build a Next-Gen Hunting Platform—an AI-driven interface used by global threat hunters to detect and mitigate cyber threats at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Build: Develop features for the hunting platform using Next.js, React, and Python.
- Collaborate: Partner with threat hunters to translate complex workflows into software.
- Innovate: Implement AI workflows (LLMs, RAG, agent systems) to automate security analysis.
- Maintain: Write clean, testable code and debug across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Security Background: 3+ years in security research, incident response, or threat intelligence.
- Software Development: 2+ years of production software engineering experience.
- Transition Profile: Approximately 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience before moving into software development.
- Engineering Standards: Experience building and validating scalable solutions through automated testing.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Next.js.
- Familiarity with GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Cortex XDR or Cortex XSOAR.
- Active use of AI/LLM tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) in your development workflow.
