Product Manager

Based in Budapest

Purpose of the role

Wizz Air is looking for a talented Digital Product Manager to join our Digital Product & Transformation team, with focus on Airline Operations. The purpose of the role is to support cross-functional Product teams by evaluating internal customer needs, existing processes, and solutions.

You will be a go to partner for selected business functions, a bridge between Business and Digital. You will align your stakeholders around the product vision, define the goals, roadmap and relentlessly measure outcomes. You have a strong bias for lean, optimization and automation. You will partner closely with your fellow Product Managers to ensure intakes are being assessed, dependencies and synergies mapped.

In this role, you will be required to master both Product as well as (agile) Program Management, and tailor the approaches to deliver more value faster.

To identify areas for improvement and value creation while assisting in the development of product vision and strategy alongside business owners. Representing the Digital vision and architectural guidelines, the Junior Manager prioritizes efforts to create maximum value, supports business case creation, challenge status quo, and pro-actively lead improvements in ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional Product teams to evaluate internal customer needs, existing processes and solutions, identify improvement and value creation areas

• Assist in developing product vision and strategy together with the business owners, representing Digital vision and architectural guidelines

• Understand business requirements and prioritize efforts to create maximum value

• Support business case creation and make sure that the IT resources are allocated in order to optimize business benefit

• Responsible for product value delivery, and measuring outcomes through Metrics/KPIs

• Contribute to yearly budget (OPEX, CAPEX) planning and resource planning on Product level

• Manage vendors according to vendor management guidelines

• Coordinate projects and pro-actively communicate on all aspects of delivery

• Provide information for management by preparing short/ long-term forecasts and special reports and analyses

• Control all cost associated with activities incl. 3rd party vendors

• Challenge status quo, and pro-actively lead improvements in ways of working

Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience working in an international business environment, 2+ years of relevant experience

• Aviation industry experience is an advantage

Hard skills

• Understanding of IT Development methodologies and processes (waterfall, agile)

• Experience in coordinating projects

• Experience in business process mapping, Agile development practices

• Experience in business

• Knowledge of the relationship between business processes and product vision

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree

Language

Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
