Full description
Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Brazil.
We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.
About the role:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure (compute, networking, CI/CD, observability)
- Drive developer experience improvements — reducing friction, removing toil, and making the "paved path" the easy path
- Lead triage on production issues: dig into logs, write scripts to analyze data when needed, and drive incidents to resolution
- Shape and advance our infrastructure architecture with a bias toward simplicity, scalability, and ease of use for the engineers building on it
- Use AI tools deliberately and effectively as a force multiplier in your own work, and help others on the team do the same
- Partner closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and translate them into infrastructure decisions
Requirements:
- Experience managing a Kubernetes (or similar) cluster — not just deploying applications onto one as a runtime. You should have configured, operated, or maintained a cluster yourself (node pools, upgrades, scaling, networking, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or an equivalent like Pulumi/CloudFormation) — you've written and maintained IaC yourself
- Solid engineering fundamentals and a real point of view on what makes infrastructure and architecture simple, scalable, and maintainable — and the judgment to make good trade-offs
- Comfort owning production triage: reading logs, forming hypotheses, writing a script when that's the fastest path to an answer, and driving to root cause under some pressure
- Combination of infrastructure/DevOps and Python/software engineering skillsets
- Clear, effective communicator, in writing and out loud — able to explain technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-infra stakeholders
- Genuinely AI-forward: you already use AI tools to move faster and better, not just because it's expected
- A collaborative partner to the broader engineering org — this role succeeds by making other engineers more effective, not by working in isolation
Desirable:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GKE Autopilot or a comparable managed Kubernetes environment
- Experience with gRPC, Postgres at scale, or service-oriented architectures
- Experience scaling infrastructure or DX tooling at a growth-stage company
- Experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA or similar)
- Prior ownership of a paved-path or internal platform initiative
What`s in it for you?
- Care: your mental and physical health is our priority. We ensure comprehensive company-paid medical insurance and mental health programs, 5 undocumented sick-leave days per year
- Tailored education path: boost your skills and knowledge with our regular internal events
- Growth environment: share your experience and level up your expertise with a community of skilled professionals, locally and globally
- Long-term employment with 20 working-days paid vacation and local bank holidays
- Flexibility: 100% remote work mode
- Opportunities: we value our specialists and always find the best options for them. Our Internal Mobility Program helps change a project if needed to help you grow, excel professionally and fulfill your potential
- Global impact: work on large-scale projects that redefine industries with international and fast-growing clients
- Welcoming environment: feel empowered with a friendly team, open-door policy, informal atmosphere within the company and regular team-building events
