Position Summary

JLGOV LLC is actively seeking a backend-focused Data Engineer / Systems Architect to drive enterprise data integration for a high-priority federal program supporting the Washington National Guard.

This role focuses entirely on backend data modernization, architecture, and pipeline engineering. In this position, you will build the foundational systems that enable critical downstream data analytics, automated reporting, and tactical decision-making dashboards.

Note: This position is contingent upon imminent contract award, offering an excellent gateway into stable, long-term DoD cloud architecture platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and sustain secure ETL/data pipelines and system integrations.
  • Integrate and transform Army Vantage and Advana data into Microsoft Dataverse/A365.
  • Develop relational/star-schema data models, APIs, and automated data connections.
  • Perform data cleansing, harmonization, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
  • Implement RBAC, row-level security, and IL5 security controls.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and integration performance.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, ERDs, technical documentation, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate technical activities with Government stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of enterprise data engineering, cloud architecture, and/or DoD systems integration experience.
  • Strong experience with SQL, ETL/data pipelines, APIs, relational data modeling, and database architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of:
  • Army Vantage / Palantir Foundry
  • Advana / Databricks
  • Microsoft Dataverse / Army 365
  • Experience supporting secure enterprise/cloud environments; DoD/IL5 experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, data-quality, and system-integration skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must possess or satisfy required Tier 1 investigation, CAC, cybersecurity training, and Government system-access requirements.

Work Location

This is not a fully remote position. Approximately 75% of work may be performed remotely and 25% onsite at Camp Murray, Washington. Mission requirements may occasionally require increased onsite support.
