Full description
The Business Data Analyst (Hybrid) will perform day-to-day tasks associated with hardware/software use and maintenance within Financial Services. They will also assist with technical support and user requests for data and reports.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop queries, code and data transformation scripts for financial applications using MS SQL, AQT, etc.
- Perform system and report testing for new and existing applications.
- Acquire data from a variety of sources including but not limited to financial applications, policy admin and claim systems, external data sources.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data being used by or impacting Financial Services.
- Create and maintain reports (ad hoc or recurring) in support of financial reporting, regulatory filings, and customer experience for internal and external use.
- Analyze and write concise structured program requests with follow through to completion.
- Coordinate small technical projects with division team.
- Provide data in support of divisional analysis, forecasting and modeling projects.
- Use large data sets to assist management with definition and monitoring of KPIs.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and data issues that impact financial applications and coordinate with IT and Application Development.
- Assess and interpret information provided to produce credible reports, exhibits and results.
- Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
- Build on presentation and analysis skills, as well as business understanding.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other Financial Services team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
- Experience equivalent to an Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, or technology related field
Qualifications/Skills:
- Basic finance or accounting knowledge.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office, MS SQL, and Crystal or similar reporting software.
- Organizational, detail oriented, accurate, and time management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Market Range: 7 / 37.5 hours per week / Hybrid - 2 days in office
Salary: $49,082 - $76,349
