Requirements:

  • Sr Analyst II Finance Business Partner
  • To fulfil requirement for accounts moved into State from Energy / Industrials - Perth Airport, WA Police, Western Sydney Airport, Qube Ports
  • Experienced / hands on finance professional with 10 plus years of experience

Key Deliverables:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all month end close activities in line with the account and DXC reporting calendar
  • Financials reporting to accurately reflect performance. All contractual clauses, terms and conditions to be strictly adhered to
  • Lead all the planning cycles (Strategic Planning, Operating plans, forecasts etc) with high level of accuracy and thorough understanding of the business dynamics in collaboration with the business at the account level
  • Understand & monitor Balance sheet balances appropriately – highlight and take to close risk items
  • A strong foundational understanding of lessor accounting under ASC 842. Translate complex lease accounting standard into actionable financial forecasts, pricing models, and profitability metrics that guide sales leadership
  • Key understanding on Hardware and Software accounting, revenue recognition, cost flow – overtime, point in time
  • ASC 606 reporting, understating of concepts and intricacies of operational and ASC 606 Backlog
  • Critical understanding of Transition and Transformation Accounting – upfront / overtime/amortisation
  • Understand MH Structure and the overlap with Offerings & Connect Structures
  • Support on all Compliance and Audit requirements as requested / scheduled

Critical Requirements / Complexities

  • Partnering with CP / AE to understand business specifics and provide valuable financials insights. Move into a Business Advisory role
  • Work to support the CP and Finance Manager to drive margin improvement initiatives with the account
  • State Industry has a Healthy mix of Offerings and Connect –
  • It is pertinent to understand the interdependencies for all Coverage accounts from a Forecast, Revenue / Margin Commit and Overall Business understanding point of view wrt to Connect / Offerings
  • More critical in case of Connect which works on a different SAP instance
  • Key to understand journal flow between the entities / offerings
  • Effective Inter personnel and communication skills to navigate and ensure deliverables are met effectively
  • Constant interaction and nurturing inter personnel relationships critical to this role
