At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Creation of custom internal scripts for automating tasks, analyzing data, and integrating APIs to connect security platforms and infrastructure tools.
  • Deployment, management, and hardening of servers based on Linux, Windows, and VMware ESXi technologies.
  • Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN gateways).
  • Preparation of comprehensive vulnerability assessment reports, remediation plans, dashboards, metric reports, and operational procedures.
  • Management of vulnerability management lifecycle processes, including identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, follow-up, and verification across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Coordination and review of remediation efforts across multiple teams, ensuring timely patching, configuration changes, and security updates.
  • Reporting on task progress, identified vulnerabilities, high-risk assets, risk exposure, actively exploited threats, ticket trends, KPIs, and other relevant security metrics to peers, stakeholders, and management.
  • Interaction with IT infrastructure teams, development teams, cloud operations teams, the Security Operations Center (SOC), compliance officers, and external vendors to ensure coordinated and effective remediation efforts.
  • Designing, orchestrating, and deploying infrastructure and services to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of cyber threat landscape management services and data.
  • Writing documentation to communicate solutions to engineers and users.
  • Solving problems related to mission-critical services, with a focus on using automation to prevent recurrence, with the goal of automating responses to all non-exceptional service conditions and building better technologies rather than relying on manual resolution.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Post-secondary education of at least 2 years and a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years of experience relevant to this position.
  • Deep expertise in Linux, Windows, and VMware ESXi server administration and management.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills for automation, secure software development, data parsing, API integration, and workflow automation and Experience with Python, Bash, Java, Go, or Rust is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, network protocols, encryption standards, authentication protocols, and secure communication techniques.
  •  Experience deploying, managing, and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OVH), including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and the integration of security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise vulnerability scanners (Rapid7 Nexpose, Nessus), SIEM platforms (Splunk), and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, vulnerability management, and security assessment methodologies.
  • Experience implementing integrations across multiple technologies using APIs and familiarity with message broker platforms such as Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, Google Pub/Sub, and RabbitMQ.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies in hybrid cloud environments, containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes), and emerging cyber threats.
  • Capacity to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications: At least one cybersecurity certification and one certification in engineering, incident response, architecture, cybersecurity solution design and implementation, governance, product-specific technologies, programming languages, or another equivalent discipline (subject to approval by the Contracting Authority) are mandatory.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English at a C1 level.
  • Knowledge of French and other EU languages will be considered an asset.
