THE DEPARTMENT

The following teams make up the Technology department: Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, Applications Development, Applications Support, Enterprise Value Delivery and Engineering. The group identifies and develops technological strategies that support GVI’s business goals and objectives to ensure internal and external partners are provided with stable systems. These include: all desktop, network, phone and email systems, applications (reservations and operations systems), websites, and Internet access.

THE POSITION

The CRM Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing both automated and manual testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of CRM platforms and integrations that support sales, marketing, service, and operational teams. This role works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to validate CRM functionality against business requirements and ensure solutions meet quality standards before release to production. The CRM Quality Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that customer data, workflows, integrations, and reporting within CRM systems are accurate, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The CRM QA Engineer is responsible for the following results:

Test Plan Development

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive test plans for CRM applications, enhancements, and integrations across environments
  • Create detailed test cases, scenarios, and test data validating CRM functionality including lead management, opportunity lifecycle, customer data management, workflows, automations, and reporting
  • Design and maintain automated and reusable test scripts for CRM user interfaces, APIs, and system integrations
  • Validate CRM configurations such as rules, workflows, validations, permissions, and data models
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with functional and technical requirements
  • Document QA activities, test results, and defects to support audits, compliance, and release readiness
  • Establish testing protocols for CRM releases, upgrades, and third‑party integrations

Delivery

  • Identify, log, analyze, and track defects related to CRM functionality, data integrity, integrations, and user experience using incident tracking tools
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing across CRM environments
  • Validate data synchronization between CRM platforms and downstream/upstream systems (e.g., marketing automation, ERP, finance, reporting platforms)
  • Ensure CRM solutions meet quality, performance, security, and usability standards
  • Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing tools used in CRM delivery
  • Support UAT cycles and partner with business stakeholders to validate CRM solutions prior to production deployment
  • Assist with documentation related to CRM functionality, testing procedures, and user guidance

Relationships

  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with developers, product teams, and business stakeholders
  • Act as a quality advocate for CRM solutions across the organization
  • Collaborate with users to understand real‑world CRM usage and anticipate risk areas
  • Communicate clearly and effectively on defects, testing outcomes, risks, and readiness
  • Promote a customer‑centric mindset in CRM design and delivery
  • Contribute actively to a collaborative, solution‑oriented QA team
  • Cross‑train and provide backup support for other QA team members as needed

EDUCATION

The preferred candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or three to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas:

  • 3+ years of quality assurance experience, with at least 1–2 years focused on CRM platforms – specifically Dynamics 365
  • Experience testing CRM systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or comparable enterprise CRM solutions
  • Experience validating CRM workflows, automations, data models, reports, dashboards, and security models
  • Hands‑on experience with API testing and data validation
  • Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., TestComplete, Playwright, Selenium, ReadyAPI, Postman)
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices in a QA or release environment
