Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer with 0-2 years of experience to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of diverse network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, MAN, and wireless systems. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring reliable connectivity, optimizing performance, and safeguarding our digital assets. You will work across various domains such as ISP operations, cloud connectivity, and security management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive network efficiency and support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures, including local, wide, and metropolitan area networks, alongside wireless solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain critical networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Manage core network services including IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
- Continuously monitor network health, analyze traffic patterns, and generate performance reports to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Diagnose and resolve network faults, hardware failures, and connectivity incidents to minimize system downtime.
- Provision and manage internet services for customers, including CPE configuration and service activation in compliance with SLAs.
- Oversee wireless infrastructure, optimizing signal quality and managing Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint links.
- Support fiber-optic and broadband networks, including GPON and FTTH maintenance, and coordinate with field teams for installations.
- Implement bandwidth management strategies, including Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic prioritization to prevent congestion.
- Configure security appliances, intrusion detection systems, and access control protocols to protect against cyber threats.
- Facilitate server and cloud connectivity, supporting hybrid environments and virtualization platforms.
- Provide technical support to customers, resolving connectivity issues and offering guidance on network usage.
- Conduct site surveys, perform equipment installations, and document all field activities and maintenance records.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, and compliance documentation while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assist in capacity planning for future network growth and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with software developers, security teams, and project managers to support infrastructure planning and implementation.
