Data Analyst – Environmental Monitoring
Location: Wolverhampton
We’re looking for a Data Analyst – Environmental Monitoring to join our team and support the accurate and timely processing and reporting of environmental monitoring data.
Working closely with our Senior Data Analyst, Field Services and Client Services teams, you’ll play an important role in ensuring project data is processed accurately, reported on time and meets both client and business requirements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in environmental monitoring who enjoys working with data, solving problems and contributing to improvements in the way we work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing environmental monitoring data across specific projects and workstreams.
- Ensuring data is processed and reported accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Providing regular updates to the Senior Data Analyst to support internal reporting and project management.
- Liaising with Field Services colleagues to support the accurate and timely reporting of data.
- Working with Client Services and Field Services teams to resolve queries and data-related issues.
- Supporting specific projects and wider activities, including bids and tenders, IT and compliance initiatives.
- Identifying issues and proactively recommending practical solutions and process improvements.
- Helping to improve departmental efficiency, productivity and the overall quality of our reporting.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to a positive and safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- At least 1 year’s experience within the environmental monitoring sector.
- Experience of data processing and report writing.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and working with colleagues across different teams.
Desirable:
- Experience of MP5.
- A BSc in a relevant academic field or equivalent qualification.
- Practical knowledge of Excel and other statistical software.
- Experience working with data portals and/or laboratory LIMS systems.
