  What will you do?  

As a  Business Intelligence Analyst, you  will help build next-generation products that create a unified view of how customers engage with Caterpillar across machine and engine purchases, equipment rentals, subscriptions, services, and aftermarket parts. By working with data from across the business, you will help deliver insights into customer behavior and buying patterns, enabling teams to better understand customer needs and make more informed decisions. 

• Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products. 
• Contributor to multi-person analytics teams. 
• Locate and obtain data from various internal and external sources. 
• Rapidly iterations of new ideas and debug issues. 
• Leveraging data analytics to inform decisions. 
• Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance; 

 

What you have: 

• Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements. 
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.  
• Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.  
• Passion for leveraging data to drive business value and make informed decisions. 
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the business simplifying complex data to assist business partners and decision makers. 
• Ability to collect required business data through various data sources and apply data analysis techniques to establish, modify, and maintain business data structures. 

Top Candidates will also have:  

• Knowledge of SQL databases  
• High interest in developing and growing skills and learning business 
• Basic knowledge with programming languages such as Python is a plus 
• Good statistical analysis skills desired 
• Formal education in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
