Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

Prime Video Trust & Safety (T&S) is responsible for ensuring that every title in our catalog meets the highest standards of content classification, maturity ratings, and regulatory compliance across hundreds of territories worldwide. We operate at massive scale, managing millions of titles while balancing accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency.
We are looking for a Leader, Business Intelligence and Analytics to transform and scale our BI function to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving operating model. In this role, you will own the full BI stack for Trust & Safety: from building foundational data infrastructure and establishing our T&S Datamart, to instrumenting products for telemetry, to delivering self-service dashboards and analytics that drive operational decision-making. You will lead a team of 6+ analysts and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Programs to ensure data is a strategic asset, not just a reporting function.
This is a role for a builder. You will inherit a foundation and transform it into a scalable, automated, and trusted analytics platform.
You will need to Dive Deep into complex data ecosystems, Invent and Simplify to reduce friction for stakeholders, Earn Trust through data quality and reliability, and be Right a Lot by making high-quality decisions with imperfect information.
Key job responsibilities ● Own and scale the end-to-end BI stack for Trust & Safety, including data pipelines, data modeling, warehousing, instrumentation, and reporting ● Establish and maintain the Trust & Safety Datamart as the single source of truth for operational metrics, coverage, accuracy, speed, and cost-to-serve ● Design and implement instrumentation strategies within T&S products to capture meaningful telemetry that powers both operational visibility and strategic insights ● Build self-service dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics capabilities that enable stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Policy, and Programs to make data-driven decisions independently ● Define and enforce data quality standards, governance practices, and documentation to ensure trust in the data across the organization ● Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of 6+ analysts, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and customer obsession ● Partner with Engineering teams to influence system design and ensure data capture requirements are integrated into product architecture from the ground up ● Develop scalable data models that support both current operational reporting and future analytical needs as the organization increases its automation footprint ● Drive efficiency through automation of recurring reporting, data validation, and pipeline monitoring ● Translate complex data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leadership, enabling strategic investment decisions
Basic Qualifications: - 10+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience - 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience - Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field - Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields, or experience including, building and maintaining data flows and pipelines - Experience working with industry tools and analytics packages, including web analytics, targeting, testing, CRM, and marketing automation platforms - Knowledge of real-time or near-real-time data architectures and streaming data systems. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD for data pipelines.
