This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to support the stability, security, and performance of a large-scale global network infrastructure environment. You will combine hands-on network operations with infrastructure deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance across distributed data centers. Working alongside field technicians, service providers, vendors, and internal engineering teams, you will help keep critical infrastructure reliable and operational. The position involves diagnosing issues across multiple network layers and coordinating timely resolution of maintenance and deployment activities. You will play an important role in meeting demanding service-level targets while improving operational efficiency. Accountabilities:
- Partner with engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to support the reliability, scalability, and usability of critical network services.
- Travel regularly to data centers to receive, deliver, install, maintain, and manage hardware assets while ensuring compliance with infrastructure and operational standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and monitor network connectivity issues across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3.
- Provide end-to-end technical support for network deployments, infrastructure installations, maintenance activities, and operational projects.
- Coordinate with field technicians, internet service providers, external partners, and third-party vendors to execute infrastructure installations, repairs, and fulfillment activities.
- Monitor, triage, and resolve incoming maintenance tickets while meeting established service-level agreements and operational targets.
- Help maintain high levels of system availability and network performance through effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational planning.
- Safely handle and lift infrastructure equipment weighing at least 50 pounds as required for data center operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Practical experience with data center operations and protocols, network technologies, security concepts, Unix/Linux internals, distributed systems, and systems design.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure operations and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues across multiple network layers.
- Strong organizational and operational planning skills, including the ability to coordinate schedules, resources, and time-sensitive activities.
- Ability to work efficiently under strict time constraints while consistently following established procedures and operational guidelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, field personnel, service providers, and external partners.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically within the United States up to 60% of the time.
- Ability to undergo and successfully maintain a U.S. Government Tier 3 background investigation.
- U.S. citizenship is required for the role.
