Job Description

The Field Case Management (FCM) QA Supervisor supports quality assurance operations at the customer account level under the direction of the FCM Senior Manager, QA. This hands-on role focuses on the day-to-day review of case files, application of customer-specific quality standards and special handling instructions, and supervisory staffing of case manager files. The FCM QA Supervisor identifies improvement opportunities within case documentation and service delivery, providing case managers with clear, actionable feedback to reinforce quality expectations and drive continuous performance improvement.

Customer-Specific Quality Review

  • Review case files, reports, and billing documentation against customer-specific quality standards and special handling instructions
  • Apply and maintain working knowledge of customer account requirements consistently across all assigned file reviews
  • Verify billing accuracy and adherence to customer-specific billing guidelines, identifying and communicating discrepancies or documentation gaps to the FCM Senior Manager, QA.
  • Identify and document improvement opportunities where case documentation, service delivery, or billing falls short of customer expectations

Supervisory Staffing & File Review

  • Conduct regular supervisory staffing reviews to assess case status, quality, completeness, accuracy, and overall file integrity
  • Identify stalled, at-risk, or non-compliant cases and communicate findings to case managers in a clear and professional manner
  • Support case managers in refining approaches to maintain file quality and momentum
  • Escalate complex, high-risk, or significantly non-compliant cases to the FCM QA Manager as appropriate
  • Document staffing notes, identified improvement opportunities, and agreed-upon follow-up actions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Deliver clear, specific, and constructive feedback to case managers framed as development opportunities to foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment

Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete and submit quality review documentation, staffing notes, and findings accurately and on time
  • Maintain organized records of case review activities, feedback delivered, and follow-up outcomes
  • Contribute to periodic quality trend reports and surface patterns to the FCM Senior Manager, QA to inform team-wide coaching or process improvements

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (VRC/CDMS) is required
  • Candidates must maintain licensure in good standing throughout employment
  • Additional professional certifications (e.g., CCM, CMC, CRRN, CDMS) are a plus
  • No specific degree requirement: equivalent experience and licensure are accepted

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in field case management within a workers' compensation setting required
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with customer-specific program standards and file reviews or case staffing preferred
  • Background in quality assurance, case auditing, or compliance review is an advantage

  • Comfortable adopting and applying emerging technologies as introduced by the organization
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent productivity tools

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $81,500 - $95,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
