We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our UniQue Security & Compliance Services team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with network and security tools across cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong understanding of protocols, encryption standards, and identity access management.

For the Network Security Engineer position, we expect you to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Manage and configure security and networking tools, including firewalls, load balancers, and network components, to ensure optimal security.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate security tools with cloud platforms and automate infrastructure deployments.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a relevant field
  • Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, or a similar area will be considered a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven working experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a relevant role.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies across all OSI layers.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one or more of the following network/security tools and technologies:
  • Cloud Networking/Security Technologies: Azure, AWS
  • Firewalls: Check Point
  • Load Balancers: F5, Azure Application Gateway (AGW), AWS Application Load Balancer (ALB)/Network Load Balancer (NLB)
  • L2/L3 Network Components: Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki Switches
  • Familiarity with network and web-related protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • Knowledge of encryption standards like SSL, TLS, and IPsec.
  • Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) technologies, including Azure RBAC and AWS IAM.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, AWS Certified Security, or Azure Security Engineer Associate) are advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel abroad (mainly in EU countries, 5% of the working time)
