About the role
Clear, accurate documentation plays an important role in helping people use systems, follow processes and understand complex technical information. As a Technical Writer, you will create and maintain documentation that supports internal users and targeted customer groups, helping ensure consistency, quality and ease of use across a range of business and technical materials. This role is based at our Coimbatore location.
Your work will contribute to customer satisfaction, product quality and operational excellence by making information accessible, current and aligned with business standards. This is an opportunity to work across a variety of projects, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and help strengthen documentation practices that support Bradken’s global operations.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain documentation plans that support project and organisational objectives.
- Create clear, user-friendly materials including training guides, user guides, manuals, SOPs, release notes, product specifications and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure documentation aligns with relevant industry standards and Bradken requirements, procedures and specifications.
- Manage documentation throughout its lifecycle, including updates, version control and archiving of superseded materials.
- Maintain documentation within Teamcenter and document management systems to support accessibility, compliance and consistency.
- Support documentation activities across projects by planning, prioritising and delivering documentation outcomes while collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Metallurgy, supported by relevant workplace experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders and customers across concurrent activities.
- Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately.
• Experience creating and managing technical documentation, including version control and document lifecycle management.
- Experience working with documentation in structured document management environments; knowledge of Teamcenter will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of production or heavy manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Experience across engineering projects, customer sites, external contractors, research institutions, API documentation, or knowledge of foundry and mining operations will be advantageous.
