Software QA Engineer 2

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, primarily focused on manual testing with exposure to automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, ensuring high-quality releases, and contributing to test strategy within Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and develop effective test scenarios and test cases.

• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

• Execute and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution documentation.

• Validate APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.

• Conduct database testing and data validation using SQL.

• Identify, log, track, and verify resolution of software defects.

• Assess testing risks and provide quality recommendations throughout the software lifecycle.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

• Support and mentor junior QA team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.

• Hands-on experience in manual testing and test case design.

• Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.

• Proficiency in SQL for database validation and testing.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Katalon Studio.

• Basic understanding of test automation frameworks.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools and modern QA practices.
