The Role
Design, Develop and run automation test suites for functional and API test cases. Understand the product requirement and create test strategy for ensuring quality of the product. Think from customer perspective in designing testing frameworks and methodologies for product testing. Work closely with other SDET’s, architects, tech leads & scrum teams in product development.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and understands the flow of code and its interaction with various processes
- Documents processes and quality demands for process improvement
- Logs, manages, and tracks user issues and cases
- Performs manual & automation regression testing
- Troubleshoots bugs and other issues on mobile, desktop, and web-based platforms
- Create test scripts in BDD model using Cucumber & Gherkin.
- Tests automation builds, execution, and script troubleshooting
- Test API’s using Postman and other tools.
- Create load testing scripts and automate load testing.
- Pen test applications using any of the tools like Netsparker, BurpSuite, etc.,
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of work experience in similar roles
- Ability to lead offshore teams and coordinate with other lead SDET’s.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify risks and errors in applications
- Knowledge of behaviour driven development
- Deep understanding of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python
- Must remain updated with current and emerging trends in related sector.
- Experience working in an agile development model.
- Experience using Agile software development cycle tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins)
- Analytical and diligent with great attention to detail
- Resilient: ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong collaborative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Occasional travel will be required as dictated by business need
