Build and deliver complex projects that matter

Drakken is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Dubai and take ownership of complex engineering and energy projects from kick-off through successful delivery.

This isn't a role where you'll simply track timelines and update project plans. You'll be at the center of execution: leading multidisciplinary teams, working directly with clients, managing suppliers and subcontractors, controlling budgets and schedules, and making sure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the standard our clients expect.

You'll typically lead teams of 5-20 people and act as the primary point of accountability for your projects.

If you're comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and bringing structure to complex technical environments, we'd like to hear from you.

About Drakken

Drakken is an international oil & gas services company specializing in electrical, automation, and instrumentation solutions for the energy sector.

Our teams deliver projects in demanding environments around the world—from deserts to deepwater. We combine engineering expertise, project management and hands-on execution to help our clients deliver complex projects efficiently, safely and reliably.

At the heart of Drakken is a simple ambition: find a better way for the world to execute projects. We challenge the status quo, continuously improve how we work, and bring together great people across our international teams.

What you'll do

As Project Manager, you'll own the successful delivery of your projects across the full lifecycle. You'll have the autonomy to lead while working closely with clients, engineering teams, contractors, and Drakken's wider international organization.

You will:

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and create clear accountability across the project.
  • Own project execution from kick-off through completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to client expectations.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with client representatives across engineering, drafting, construction and commercial activities.
  • Select, contract and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Lead project kick-off, progress and stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts and project controls.
  • Track progress, costs, risks, changes and overall project performance.
  • Manage change orders, invoicing and commercial project administration.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, correspondence and records.
  • Develop practical processes and procedures that improve project execution.
  • Support Business Development with proposals, estimates and project input when required.
  • Ensure Drakken's quality management standards are embedded throughout project delivery.
  • Champion safe working practices and ensure compliance with applicable Health & Safety requirements.

These responsibilities reflect the end-to-end project, commercial, quality and safety ownership outlined in the existing role.

The kind of person who thrives at Drakken

You're not someone who waits to be told what to do.

You take ownership. You communicate early. You bring people together when a project gets complicated, and you're equally comfortable discussing technical details with engineers, commercial matters with clients, and priorities with senior leadership.

You'll enjoy Drakken if you like high standards, real responsibility and an entrepreneurial environment where good ideas can quickly become better ways of working.

What we offer

You'll join an international organization where project managers are trusted with meaningful responsibility and direct client exposure.

Drakken offers a competitive compensation package, performance-based bonus, and benefits, alongside an open, team-oriented culture built around communication, integrity, innovation, and respect.

The role is based in Dubai and may require travel and off-site project work.

We're looking for someone who combines technical understanding with strong project leadership.

You'll ideally bring:

  • A post-secondary technical or engineering-related degree or diploma.
  • Experience with electrical, automation or instrumentation projects is a strong advantage.
  • Construction experience is an advantage.
  • PMP/PMI certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, cost control and project governance.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with MS Project or comparable scheduling/project management software.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets, forecasts and change orders.
