We are currently seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Scope of Services
- Own and communicate the delivery vision, product goals, roadmap, release priorities, and measurable business outcomes for assigned Salesforce initiatives.
- Translate business needs into a well-structured product backlog containing epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and nonfunctional requirements.
- Prioritize the backlog based on customer value, risk, regulatory needs, technical dependencies, capacity, and delivery commitments.
- Act as Scrum Master for one or more delivery teams and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate the day-to-day work of Salesforce developers, QA engineers, architects, analysts, and integration partners without replacing their technical accountability.
- Establish sprint goals, confirm story readiness, remove delivery impediments, monitor progress, manage scope, and support timely decision-making.
- Partner with QA engineers to define acceptance strategy, test coverage, defect priorities, quality gates, release readiness, and production validation.
- Manage project plans, milestones, resource needs, RAID logs, dependencies, budgets or forecasts where applicable, and executive delivery reporting.
- Identify, assess, communicate, and mitigate delivery, technical, security, compliance, vendor, schedule, resource, and operational risks.
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder discussions, resolve competing priorities, document decisions, and maintain alignment between business and technology teams.
- Coordinate release planning, change management, cutover readiness, production support, lessons learned, and transition to ongoing operations.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in technical product ownership, Agile delivery leadership, project management, Scrum leadership, or a comparable role.
- Demonstrated experience managing software developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional technology teams through complex enterprise delivery.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, backlog management, estimation, capacity planning, velocity, release planning, and continuous improvement.
- Proven project-management experience across scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, status reporting, stakeholder expectations, and delivery governance.
- Strong people-management and team-leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, conflict resolution, accountability, performance feedback, and team development.
- Strong risk-management experience, including maintaining RAID logs, quantifying impact and probability, establishing owners and mitigation plans, and escalating decisions appropriately.
- Ability to create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, product documentation, executive summaries, and decision materials.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Scrum Master and Team Leadership Expectations
- Facilitate effective, time-boxed Scrum ceremonies and ensure each ceremony produces clear decisions, actions, and accountable owners.
- Protect the team from unnecessary disruption while maintaining transparency and productive engagement with stakeholders.
- Use delivery metrics such as velocity, predictability, cycle time, throughput, escaped defects, blocked work, and burn trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote healthy collaboration between product, engineering, QA, architecture, security, operations, and business teams.
- Coach team members on story quality, estimation, definition of ready, definition of done, quality ownership, and sustainable delivery practices.
- Escalate material risks and impediments early, with options, impact analysis, and recommended decisions.
Salesforce Experience: Preferred
- Experience delivering Salesforce projects involving Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, digital engagement, Einstein Bots, Agentforce, or integrated enterprise applications.
- Understanding of Salesforce release planning, environments, sandboxes, metadata deployment, data migration, security, profiles, permission sets, and platform limits.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Salesforce architects, administrators, Apex and LWC developers, integration engineers, and Salesforce QA automation engineers.
- Experience coordinating Salesforce DevOps and release processes using tools such as Salesforce DX, Azure DevOps, Gearset, Git, Copado, or comparable platforms.
- Knowledge of API integrations, middleware, data synchronization, production support, and cross-system dependency management.
Preferred Tools and Delivery Practices
- Azure DevOps Boards, Jira, Rally, or an equivalent Agile planning and work-management platform.
- Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Miro, or comparable collaboration and documentation tools.
- Roadmap, dependency, resource, and portfolio-management tools appropriate for enterprise delivery.
- Experience with hybrid Agile delivery, vendor coordination, distributed teams, and globally aligned release plans.
- Experience working in regulated environments with security, privacy, compliance, audit, and change-management requirements.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or equivalent product-owner certification.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Scrum Master certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project-management certification.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe Scrum Master, or comparable scaled-Agile certification.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant.
AI-Assisted Product and Delivery Management
- Use approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor to accelerate backlog analysis, epic decomposition, user-story drafting, acceptance-criteria creation, refinement preparation, dependency identification, and delivery documentation.
- Use AI assistance to summarize stakeholder input, meetings, risks, decisions, defects, and technical discussions into actionable backlog and project-management artifacts.
- Use AI to identify ambiguity, missing edge cases, nonfunctional requirements, duplicate work, dependencies, and potential delivery risks while retaining human ownership of prioritization and decisions.
- Validate AI-generated stories and acceptance criteria with business, architecture, development, and QA stakeholders to ensure clarity, feasibility, testability, security, compliance, and business value.
- Follow enterprise policies for approved tools, confidential information, prompt handling, intellectual property, auditability, and responsible AI use.
Expected Deliverables and Outcomes
- Prioritized and delivery-ready product backlog aligned with roadmap, business value, architecture, quality, and release objectives.
- Well-run Scrum ceremonies with documented goals, decisions, actions, risks, dependencies, and accountable owners.
- Realistic delivery plans, sprint and release forecasts, milestone tracking, and transparent status reporting.
- Current RAID log with effective mitigation, contingency, escalation, and decision management.
- Coordinated development and QA execution with clear acceptance criteria, quality gates, defect priorities, and release-readiness evidence.
- Stakeholder alignment, timely decision-making, controlled scope, and measurable continuous improvement in team delivery.
- Release, cutover, production-validation, knowledge-transfer, and operational-readiness documentation.
- AI-assisted backlog, user-story, acceptance-criteria, risk, and delivery artifacts that are reviewed, traceable, testable, and aligned with approved outcomes.
