BI & Data Scientist
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
•To develop and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that enhance digital intelligence modules, operational performance, and decision-making. Will work with cross-functional teams to deliver predictive insights and intelligent automation, also assisting in the interpretation of complex data to support strategic and operational decisions.
•Act as an organisational enabler, building data capability within functional teams through continuous training, coaching, and data support, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
ROLE:
•Machine Learning & AI
•Design and deploy ML, deep learning models for fraud detection, anomaly identification, predictive analytics, behavioral segmentation, and risk scoring.
•Apply AI techniques such as LLM, image processing, and reinforcement learning to improve Digital Services Intelligence and reporting.
•Conduct feature engineering, model tuning, and performance evaluation using statistical and cross-validation methods.
•Implement MLOps pipelines for model lifecycle management, including versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
•Data Engineering & Analytics
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and SSIS for scalable data ingestion and transformation.
- Integrate and analyse data from operational platforms: BI, Splunk, Nagios, ServiceNow, DMS
- Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau for real-time insights and strategic reporting.
•Conduct root cause analysis, trend forecasting, and scenario modelling to support action planning.
•Lead training and coaching sessions to build data literacy and promote a data-driven mindset across teams.
•Support the development and delivery of reporting and analytics training for customer and taxpayer system users.
PROFILE:
•Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
•3+ years of experience in data science, AI development, or advanced analytics roles.
- Good command of English
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
•Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
•Familiarity with core tools: Splunk, ServiceNow, DMS, and Linux environments.
•Experience with AI applications such as LLM (ollama, LangChain, Hugging Face), computer vision (OpenCV), and deep learning.
•Solid understanding of ITSM, Service Management, and data governance principles.
•Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
•Ability to present insights to senior management and influence strategic decisions.
Knowledge (desirable)
•RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate).
•Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
•MDX, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
•MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
•Data privacy, security, and compliance frameworks
