About the role
Stream Companies is seeking an innovative Product Manager to join our product team and help shape the future of our retail automotive MarTech SaaS platform. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will play a critical role in transforming executive strategy and fresh concepts into engaging, market-leading software that helps car dealerships attract, convert, and retain modern buyers.
We are looking for a true product builder—someone with a creative mindset who deeply understands dealership operations, vehicle sales workflows, and the shopper journey. You don't just write requirements; you synthesize market needs, spot opportunity in complex dealer workflows, and design compelling application experiences. Furthermore, you actively leverage AI tools and automations to scale your own productivity, using AI for market research, spec drafting, workflow automation, and prototyping to amplify your impact. Working alongside our hands-on Software Development Managers and engineering teams, you will turn big ideas into actionable product features and intuitive user applications.
What you'll do
- Strategy-to-Product Execution: Partner directly with the VP of Product to take high-level strategy, concepts, and market insights and translate them into detailed product visions, wireframes, and scalable SaaS applications
- Builder's Ownership: Maintain end-to-end product ownership of your application features—from conceptual discovery and functional design through build, launch, and post-release iteration
- AI-Amplified Delivery: Modernize the product management lifecycle by using Generative AI and automation tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, automated workflows, AI wireframing) to accelerate spec creation, content generation, competitive research, and user stories
- Deep Retail Auto Insights: Leverage your domain expertise in car dealerships and automotive retail to anticipate user pain points, design intuitive shopper and dealer workflows, and deliver features that drive real business value for dealerships
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering leads, peer engineering managers, and UX/UI designer to ensure technical builds match the strategic product vision while maintaining high velocity
- Discovery & Roadmap Delivery: Engage with dealership partners, internal account management, and industry stakeholders to discover unmet needs, test feature concepts, and continuously refine the product delivery roadmap
Qualifications
- Automotive Retail Domain Expertise (Required): Deep, practical understanding of retail automotive operations, dealership business models, automotive marketing, or car buyer workflows (e.g., worked at an auto SaaS company, agency specializing in retail auto, dealership group, or OEM tech platform)
- Builder Mindset: Proven track record as a product creator who focuses on solving core user problems, driving adoption, and building great applications—rather than simply managing task lists or project timelines
- AI Proficiency & Tech-Savviness: Demonstrated experience using modern AI tools to augment personal workflow, generate documentation, draft user facing content, or build light automations to move faster and scale output
- Product Discovery & UX Aptitude: Strong ability to sketch workflows, build concepts, write clear feature stories, and collaborate with UX engineers to build seamless digital experiences
- Strategic Collaboration: Experience working directly with product executives, taking high-level guidance, and running with complex initiatives independently
- Agile Adaptability: Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks is helpful, but can be taught for candidates with elite domain expertise and a strong product builder mindset
