Job Description
As a key member of the Commercial Finance team, the Financial Analyst, Commercial delivers critical financial analysis, planning, and reporting to support Performance Tapes North America. Partnering closely with Sales and Marketing stakeholders, the Financial Analyst, Commercial drives performance tracking against strategic goals while utilizing BI tools to automate processes, remove inefficiencies, and elevate analytical capability across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Insights & Profitability: Deliver predictive financial analysis to Sales and Marketing leadership, surfacing actionable insights that drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
- Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate monthly reporting for all Commercial activities while maintaining strict SOX compliance and robust internal controls.
- AOP & Forecasting Support: Support the Commercial Finance Team and Sales & Marketing by assisting with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation, routine forecasting, business cases, and ad-hoc financial modeling.
- BI & Dashboard Optimization: Assist the development and business adoption of Google Data Studio/Looker Studio and interactive sales dashboards to automate and streamline reporting.
- Data Leadership: Guide key stakeholders on data governance, metrics selection, and analytical best practices to enable data-driven business decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of progressive finance/FP&A experience.
- Problem Solving Skills: Exceptional business acumen and critical thinking skills for effective, data-driven problem-solving.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical command of Google Suite, Excel, and ERP/BI systems (Google Data Studio, MfgPro, Oracle, Cognos). 
- Analytical Modeling: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and the ability to clearly synthesize complex datasets into comprehensive, actionable analyses.
- Execution & Organization: High degree of detail orientation and accuracy, combined with strong follow-up skills, proactive initiative, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $66,375 to $99,120/ year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
