Introduction to the Role
The Global Product Support Manager provides global sales, technical, and training support for the Chute & Conveyor Solutions Product Line (CCSPL). Working closely with Market Areas and regional sales teams, this role drives business growth through technical leadership, customer engagement, solution development, and strategic market support.
We are seeking a technical specialist with strong experience in conveyor solutions and bulk materials handling systems, including conveyor belts, pulleys, rollers, trackers, cleaners, loading systems, and conveyor performance optimisation. Experience in chute lining, wear solutions, and transfer point design will be highly regarded.
The position is based in Australia and reports to the Chute and Conveyor Solutions Business Development Manager, with regular domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
- Support sales teams with customer engagement, opportunity identification, and proposal development.
- Drive brownfield growth opportunities, market expansion strategies, and key account development.
- Provide market intelligence and technical leadership to strengthen CCSPL's competitive position.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with customers, EPCMs, and internal stakeholders.
- Support strategic accounts and major projects to drive growth and improve win rates.
Technical & Product Support
- Act as the global technical authority for conveyor solutions, including conveyor belts, pulleys, rollers, idlers, trackers, cleaners, loading zones, transfer points, and conveyor reliability initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in chute lining systems, wear materials, and transfer point optimisation.
- Conduct site audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improved conveyor performance, reliability, safety, and total cost of ownership.
- Support quotation development through technical solution design, high-level engineering, scope definition, and costing.
- Develop innovative solutions to address customer challenges across conveyor and transfer-point applications
Training & Capability Development
- Deliver technical training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing across Product Line teams and Market Areas.
- Develop technical content, case studies, and sales support tools.
Product Strategy & Development
- Support product development, portfolio growth, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities and enhance competitiveness.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
- Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years' experience in conveyor solutions and/or conveyor component applications.
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyor belts, pulleys, rollers, idlers, trackers, cleaners, loading stations, and conveyor performance optimisation.
- Experience with transfer chute design, wear lining selection, materials flow optimisation, and transfer point performance would be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions, support sales growth, and translate customer challenges into commercial opportunities.
- Strong understanding of mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and maintenance operations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
- Project management experience and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software (desirable).
- Willingness to travel globally as required.
