At Tribe Financial Accounting, we translate complex, primarily global Wholesale Banking business activities into accurate financial records that meet the latest regulatory and tax requirements. Change requests come from:

Each of these triggers requires us to analyse, design, test, and implement solutions across the entire processing chain within Finance. Close cooperation with all parties is in the chain is key.

About the role in the Financial Markets new products squad:

As a Business Analyst, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary squad of business analysts, engineers, and a product owner. Together, you work on Financial Markets New Products initiatives with the objective to onboard new products to the central Finance environment and improve the current way of processing and reporting. You’ll act as the single Finance point of contact for complex front‑to‑end initiatives, ensuring business needs are translated into high‑quality accounting and IT solutions. Within this position, you have either the possibility to develop yourself into a specialist in a certain domain or to develop to a generic profile with managerial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand product lifecycle and develop/maintain event‑based accounting specifications for FM & GT products
  • Translate business requirements into Finance user requirements
  • Act as single Finance point of contact in front-to-end initiatives. Coordinate and facilitate activities on squad/tribe and/or program level;
  • Analyse data flows, assess data quality, and propose improvements
  • Implement and maintain controls related to minimum accounting standards
  • Support strategic initiatives through functional, acceptance & migration testing
  • Work closely with IT to translate solution designs into IT implementations
  • Provide second‑line functional support, including daily EOD checks for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

You have a proven track record and the following technical and behavioral skills:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy, or Economics.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, with strong expertise in Financial Markets products, product accounting concepts and end-to-end banking processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with understanding a product life cycle, gathering requirements, creating functional designs, creating / maintaining event-based product accounting specifications for FM & GT products and participating in E2E test cycles including the creation of test cases.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with SQL;
  • Knowledge of FMGT Front Office and Back Office systems is a plus (like Murex, Summit, Sophis and Calypso).
  • Good communication skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with your stakeholders (e.g. Front Office, Wholesale Banking Tribes and tribes/departments within Finance).
  • Team player with strong analytical skills and a proactive and result driven mindset.
