Summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a Lead Analyst – Financial Modelling and Innovation to lead enterprise financial modelling and drive finance innovation across a large and complex organisation. In this strategic leadership role, you will provide specialist financial expertise, analytical capability and guidance to enhance financial systems, reporting frameworks and decision-making. Working collaboratively across Finance, ICT, schools and office teams, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, deliver innovative reporting and modelling solutions, and support the organisation's focus on financial sustainability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About the opportunity

In this position you will: 

  • Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of enterprise financial models, including forecasting, scenario planning and financial sustainability modelling
  • Deliver high-quality financial and operational reporting that supports compliance, planning and informed decision-making
  • Drive finance innovation initiatives and contribute to the Financial Services digital roadmap
  • Provide expert advice on financial systems, reporting frameworks, accounting processes and finance technology solutions
  • Lead the assessment and implementation of process improvement, automation and system enhancement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain financial system procedures, documentation, training resources and support materials
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, ICT, schools and office teams to align business needs with strategic priorities
  • Lead projects and teams to deliver organisational outcomes and continuous improvement across financial services

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Significant experience in a senior finance, financial systems, business intelligence or analytics role within a large and complex organisation
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capabilities with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience improving financial systems, reporting processes and technology-enabled solutions
  • Proven experience leveraging Microsoft technologies and the Power Platform to design, integrate and automate end-to-end data solutions, connecting platforms such as Excel, SharePoint, Azure and Power BI to improve data accessibility, reporting and business processes
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights
  • Proven ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience leading change initiatives, projects and continuous improvement programs from concept through to delivery
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline, along with CA, CPA or equivalent professional membership
  • A collaborative and innovative leadership style, with experience in Activity Based Costing (ABC) modelling highly regarded
