At Intrepid, we’re looking for a Lead Security Engineer to ensure our global technology environment stays secure. You’ll uplift our security posture, embed best‑practice frameworks, and stay ahead of emerging threats to protect our people, travellers and systems.
Working closely with our technology teams, senior stakeholders and trusted external partners across the globe, you’ll lead our vulnerability lifecycle, guide major technology changes from a security lens, and drive continuous improvement in our cyber world. Whether you’re leading audits, strengthening vendor security, or collaborating with our developers to implement secure solutions, your expertise will directly influence how Intrepid operates at scale with confidence.
This is a role for someone who believes security can be an enabler, not a blocker, who brings deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for clear communication to support teams across the business understand risks and solutions alike. This is a full-time 12 month contract based out of our office in Melbourne, with flexibility for hybrid working.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, IT, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security or related field.
• Knowledge and/or experience with IT Security standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI.
• A solid understanding of network architecture and common systems that integrate.
• Expert knowledge of information systems, security solutions, and defence capabilities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge and experience in vulnerability management solutions.
• Experience implementing capability to build awareness and protection of Intrepid business.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously to deliver quality outcomes.
