Job Overview

The IT Data Integrations Engineer III is a senior developer role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Integration solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers. The Senior Developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and ensures best practices in code quality, security, and performance. Experience working with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, frameworks, or systems is highly valued, including developing, deploying, and optimizing AI-powered solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data integration workflows using Microsoft SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar technologies.
  • Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
  • Develop and implement API calls using .NET for seamless integration between systems and external data sources.
  • Leverage SQL Server expertise to create and maintain high-performing databases, including performance tuning and database design.
  • Implement ingestion patterns on Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2) for batch and near-real-time feeds, including handling of semi-structured data and unstructured data.
  • Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and custom integration scripting
  • Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with data security standards.
  • Drive AI adoption by integrating artificial intelligence solutions into data integration pipelines and workflows, fostering automation and data-driven insights
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Five or more years of experience in data integration, ETL development, and data warehousing.
  • Expertise with Microsoft SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for integration and workflow automation; working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet).
  • Strong SQL skills with proven experience in SQL Server, including performance tuning and database design.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET technologies, particularly for API integration and data exchange.
  • Solid experience with Python for scripting, automation, and data integration tasks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and experience implementing AI-driven solutions in data integration environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure data services and storage (ADLS Gen2, networking/identity fundamentals) and how they integrate with Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data security and governance (RBAC, least privilege, auditing, data masking/row-level security).
  • Proficiency with Git workflows and CI/CD practices (preferably Azure DevOps), including code reviews and automated testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical leadership: coaching junior team members, driving code quality, performing code reviews and contributing to architectural designs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
  • Five to up to seven years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, particularly in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering
  • Certifications in Data Engineering, SSIS, ADF preferred
