New York, NY Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
The Senior Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Data Analyst supports Apple Bank’s Real Estate Valuation & Advisory Division (REVAD) and related Commercial Mortgage Division (CMD), as well as other internal stakeholders by delivering data-driven analysis of real estate, financial, and market information. The position will be involved in a variety of activities including development of actionable insights, analytical reports, market research, and leveraging data and AI-enabled tools to support valuation, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk management, due diligence, and informed business decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, test, document, and maintain AI-enabled and automated workflows for property financial statement analysis, document review, market research, due diligence, and recurring portfolio processes.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring reports for the commercial real estate portfolio, including portfolio composition, property performance, debt service coverage, maturity, exposure, valuation, and risk indicators.
- Identify manual or duplicative processes that can be standardized or automated without weakening control quality, auditability, or professional judgment.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Real Estate Analysts on CRE analysis, data quality, reporting, visualization, and use of approved analytical tools.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including the limitations, assumptions, and source data underlying the analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred.
- 6 + years of experience in a similar position.
- Advanced knowledge of AI technologies, including prompt engineering, agent-based automation, machine learning, data science, and analytics, coupled with a proven ability to streamline processes and deliver business insights.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, or similar tools used for data extraction, transformation, analysis, or workflow automation.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the New York metropolitan real estate market helpful.
