We have an opportunity for a PDM to join the Gas Technologies team within the Honeywell Gas and LNG vertical. This role leads the development of comprehensive technical proposals as an active participant in the customer engagement team during the lifecycle of an opportunity; from initial inquiry to closing a sale.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with regional sales teams, engineering, R&D and business leadership to develop winning technical and techno-commercial proposals that meet customer project requirements.
You will report directly to our leadership team, and you’ll work out of our Rosemont, IL, Houston, TX, or Tulsa, OK location on a hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Support: Support Sales teams in developing competitive Techno-Commercial proposals. Lead proposal development, solution positioning, clarification meetings, and technology updates. Participate with sales teams in early-stage customer engagement activities as a technology representative for Honeywell Gas Technology.
- Proposal Strategies: Collaborate with Sales, Offering Managers, and with relevant engineering and equipment design teams to develop and implement proposal strategies to differentiate our solutions to address project specific needs including process optimization, process integration, and project economics improvement. Participate in customer discussions to provide technical sales support and develop an understanding of the customer’s needs and expectations.
- Modular project development: Drive optimization of modular offerings for Honeywell’s gas technologies, collaborating with the Equipment sales support team to develop a unified offering.
- Proposal Writing and Editing: Participate in writing complex proposals, including development of proposal template material and proposal attachments.
- Opportunity Screening: Participate in sales support intake meetings and, when necessary, evaluate early-stage opportunities for feasibility before they are brought to intake, to help determine what Honeywell Gas technologies can be effectively offered.
- Tools and Infrastructure Development: Lead the ideation and development of simulation and estimating tools to streamline TSE work processes and improve tool functionality and reliability. Develop and implement systems and processes to standardize design protocols.
- Competitive Landscape Evaluation: Collect customer intelligence on regional market trends, competitor strategies, and products. Provide information to Sales, Business, and Offering Managers for subsequent analysis. Maintain a thorough knowledge of UOP solutions and value propositions.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $164,000 - $205,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $189,000 - $235,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- 15+ years of experience in the industry, with a deep understanding of its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong technical background in Gas Technologies with focus on Adsorbents, Solvents and Membrane Technologies.
- Business acumen (articulate business drivers, consideration, sales cycles, customer and internal)
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills – Ability to drive convergence to a win-win position in the context of project sales – “Getting to Yes”.
- Project development experience around integrated gas plants and modular equipment supply
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated skills in presenting and promoting technology in front of customers at all levels of the organization
- Experienced in technical writing and preparation of proposals – ability to identify and articulate techno-economic value propositions and manage scope development and customer clarifications.
