Full description
What’s the Role:
This role focuses on enabling the secure adoption of AI, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities by designing and implementing scalable security controls across the full AI lifecycle, while supporting the development of secure AI platform architectures and applications. It involves embedding guardrails to manage risks such as data leakage and model vulnerabilities, and creating standards, runbooks, and reference patterns to help engineering teams deliver secure AI solutions, combining expertise across security engineering, software development, cloud platforms, and automation to ensure robust and compliant AI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide SME security consultancy to guide product, platform, and engineering teams in delivering secure AI solutions aligned to enterprise security strategy and risk appetite.
- Design and implement secure MLOps/LLMOps patterns, including model onboarding, CI/CD controls, environment segregation, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Establish and embed guardrails for responsible AI, covering data protection, PII handling, content filtering, monitoring, governance, and auditability.
- Partner with development and product teams to identify security risks, capture requirements, and provide practical remediation guidance.
- Develop and maintain security processes, tooling, and reference materials such as patterns, playbooks, and templates to support consistent adoption.
- Collaborate with operational and incident response teams to improve detection, response, and resilience for AI-related threats across platforms and applications.
What do I need?
- Hands-on experience in security engineering across application, cloud, platform, or DevSecOps environments, with delivery of security controls in complex enterprise settings.
- Experience securing AI/ML or GenAI systems, including threat modelling and understanding of risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model extraction/inversion, poisoning, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GIAC) or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Strong understanding of secure MLOps/LLMOps practices, including CI/CD, model registries, artifact integrity, policy-as-code, and environment controls.
- Experience with cloud and container security, LLM application architectures (RAG, vector databases, prompt orchestration), and data security controls such as encryption, key management, and data protection.
- Ability to perform incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, including support for AI-related security events, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
