This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst based in the United States.

Accountabilities: The Senior Business Systems Analyst will own the design, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of critical financial systems, with a primary focus on subscription billing and revenue platforms. This role requires strong technical judgment, business partnership, and the ability to lead complex initiatives from problem definition through implementation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Gather business requirements, design solutions, and configure Zuora applications to support finance operations and evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for the Zuora ecosystem, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving finance, engineering, integrations, and business teams to deliver effective system enhancements.
  • Translate business objectives into well-defined system requirements, helping stakeholders identify the best solutions rather than simply executing requests.
  • Architect and implement complex configurations, workflows, customizations, and integrations to improve platform performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, process maps, system documentation, and user enablement materials.
  • Own change management and release processes while ensuring system stability, data integrity, and successful adoption of new capabilities.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and operational improvements across financial systems.
  • Support issue resolution, escalated incidents, and platform maintenance while collaborating with broader business systems teams.
  • Mentor team members and business partners while representing the business systems function with senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced business systems professional with strong expertise in financial technology platforms, especially Zuora, and a proven ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions. Required qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Zuora Billing and Revenue platforms.
  • Zuora Certified Administrator certification.
  • 5+ years of financial systems administration experience with platforms such as NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce Financial Cloud, or similar systems.
  • Deep understanding of subscription billing processes and revenue management concepts.
  • Experience building, enhancing, and managing Zuora workflows, scripts, configurations, and customizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Zuora reporting, data queries, and SQL to support business reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to design solutions based on business needs and explain technical trade-offs clearly.
  • Experience working with integrations and iPaaS solutions such as Workato, as well as understanding custom-coded integrations.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while managing ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to support additional business applications such as Salesforce, telecom/IVR platforms, and other operational systems.
