We are looking for Data Scientist interns who can commit to a minimum of 3 months for our 2027 Data Scientist Internship/Co-op for either our Winter term, January to April, or our summer term, May to August. This position is based in Science Park, Hong Kong with the opportunity to work in a hybrid arrangement.
As a Data Scientist I, you will:
- Use machine learning and advanced statistics to help build innovative solutions for real-life customer and business problems
- Transform complex datasets into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
- Grow alongside a diverse team of world-class experts in data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business, and design
- Collaborate with our teams in HK & Canada to share knowledge, learnings, and tools
- Skills required: Python, NLP/LLM
- Familiar with our tech stack: scikit-learn, xgboost, pytorch, tensorflow, LightGBM, pandas, etc.,
Here’s what you bring to the table:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, science, engineering, statistics, AI, computer science or a related field.
- Available to work with us full-time, 37.5 hours per week, for the Winter 2027 term (January to April) or Summer 2027 term (May to August)
- Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school following your internship.
- Relevant experience in predictive modelling, machine learning and advanced statistics solving business problems is an asset
- Unlimited curiosity and a passion to challenge the status quo
- Ability to focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach
- Excellent communication, organization and a collaborative attitude
- Self-reliant with a strong sense of responsibility;
