We are looking for an experienced Consultant – Java Backend to design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems that power high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with a passion for building reliable, secure, and distributed systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust backend services, improve system performance, and contribute to the architecture of mission-critical applications used by global customers.

Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Build and enhance microservices-based architectures to support high-availability and high-performance systems.
  • Develop secure, reusable, and well-tested RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical planning.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote engineering excellence.
  • Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements• 5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java.

  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

  • Strong understanding of System Design and scalable distributed architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Exposure to messaging systems, caching technologies, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
