We are looking for you,
Senior Refinery Data Engineer
to our Oil Products, Assets & Investments (A&I), Systems, Data & Metrics team. The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Systems, Data and Metrics is a team consisting of different IT technical and business process professionals. The team is responsible for owning A&I related IT solutions, their data and metrics/KPIs connected to them. The tasks in the team include evaluating development road maps, ensuring key user network operations, acting as focal point towards corporate IT and key supplier contacts and interaction with Porvoo refinery stakeholders for new requirements and KPIs.
Besides working closely within the team, in your role you will collaborate with A&I asset master data SMEs, plant investment projects and various leadership level stakeholders to ensure accurate data to base decisions on. You will be responsible for Porvoo refinery functional location, equipment and material master data. You will also act as a Business Solution Owner of SAP MDG and other related IT systems to secure efficient and transparent data flows from initial start of new investments all the way to decommissioning of assets. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team
• Acting as the leading expert within the refinery master data area to ensure the integrity, availability, and usability of asset data (functional locations, equipment, and material) across the Oil Products business.
• Owner of SAP MDG and related solutions development road map from A&I perspective, together with the network of peers in other Neste organisation branches.
• Take full responsibility for the accuracy of functional location, equipment and material data objects within A&I.
• Supporting Porvoo refinery as the leading specialist for functional location, equipment and material master data. Working alongside technical experts to guarantee the seamless integration of asset data requirements.
• Development and ownership of discipline technology best practices and benchmark them against the industry standards.
The best combination to succeed in this role
• Relevant technical degree, e.g. industrial/mechanical/automation engineer or similar. Preferably B.Eng or higher.
• As a senior engineer role the successful candidate should have solid process industry and data management experience. This can be from e.g. design, maintenance and/or operations. Preferably a combination of these.
• Solid knowhow on engineering data flows from tag reservation until decommissioning of the assets.
• Relevant project experience and knowhow of the requirements in different project phases in an investment project.
• Proven ability in complex data initiatives in an industrial environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English, and conversational Finnish
• Demonstrated skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with people of different backgrounds in complex matrix organizations.
