The WordPress Developer & Digital Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the PROS Travel website through hands-on WordPress development, website operations, landing page implementation, QA, and ongoing content updates within an enterprise-grade WordPress and Elementor environment.
This role works closely with marketing, creative, product marketing, digital, and agency partners to ensure website updates, campaign pages, and digital experiences are launched accurately, perform reliably, and align with business priorities.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain the PROS Travel WordPress website, including content updates, landing pages, templates, forms, and ongoing website improvements.
- Build and update reusable page templates and website components using WordPress, Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar page-builder tools.
- Support consistent use of approved website templates, components, global styles, and brand standards.
- Implement landing pages, forms, and website updates to support marketing programs, campaigns, events, and content launches.
- Support staging-to-production workflows, QA testing, website publishing, and release coordination.
- Perform ongoing website maintenance, including troubleshooting, broken links, redirects, plugin updates, page-speed improvements, and form validation.
- Work within managed WordPress hosting environments such as Pagely, WP Engine, Pantheon, Kinsta, or similar platforms.
- Support basic website performance best practices, including image optimization, page-speed checks, Core Web Vitals awareness, and coordination with technical partners when deeper performance support is needed.
- Support website accessibility best practices, including proper heading structure, alt text, form labels, and accessible page-building practices.
- Support responsible plugin and add-on usage by following approved tools, avoiding unnecessary plugins, and coordinating with agency or IT partners on updates and compatibility.
- Execute SEO-related website updates, including metadata, internal linking, redirects, structured content improvements, and content hygiene.
- Support website tracking, UTM tagging, Google Tag Manager updates, and basic analytics implementation.
- Coordinate with marketing operations on website forms, conversion paths, and campaign tracking requirements across systems such as Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Partner with marketing, creative, digital, product marketing, IT, and agency teams to ensure website updates and campaign assets are launched accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized documentation, templates, QA checklists, and website processes to support efficient execution.
Required Qualifications - About you:
- 2-5 years of experience working with WordPress websites, web development, or digital operations in a B2B, SaaS, technology, or enterprise environment.
- Hands-on WordPress experience, including content management, templates, page layouts, HTML, CSS, and experience working with Elementor or similar page-builder tools in a structured, component-based website environment.
- Basic PHP knowledge and ability to make front-end website component, template, or theme updates.
- Experience managing website updates, landing pages, forms, and publishing workflows.
- Experience supporting staging-to-production workflows, QA testing, and website troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with managed WordPress hosting platforms such as Pagely, WP Engine, Pantheon, Kinsta, or similar.
- Understanding of website performance fundamentals, SEO best practices, and analytics/tagging concepts.
- Awareness of web accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with website analytics, UTM tagging, Google Tag Manager, and digital campaign tracking.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Highly Preferred:
- Experience supporting B2B marketing campaigns and landing page implementation.
- Experience with Elementor Pro, reusable templates, component libraries, global styles, or structured WordPress content.
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields, Custom Post Types, or similar WordPress tools.
- Experience working with marketing automation or CRM integrations such as Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to A/B testing, CRO initiatives, personalization tools, or campaign optimization programs.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows or version-controlled development processes.
- Experience in airline, travel technology, SaaS, or enterprise B2B environments preferred.
